New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The Lamp Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Marley Hill And District Commu, Church Street, Marley Hill, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 30.

And Chowman @ Westview Chinese, a takeaway at Unit 2 Dunston Enterprise Park, West View Terrace, Dunston was given a score of zero on March 1.
