A Gateshead drinking establishment has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Sun Inn, a pub, bar or nightclub at Market Lane, Dunston, Gateshead was given the maximum score after assessment on October 31, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 172 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 110 (64%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
