A Gateshead drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Ryton Football Club, a pub, bar or nightclub at Kingsley Park, Stannerford Road, Crawcrook, Ryton was given the score after assessment on June 20, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 171 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 110 (64%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
