A Gateshead drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Black Horse Inn, a pub, bar or nightclub at Barlow Road, Barlow, Blaydon On Tyne Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on September 21, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 172 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 109 (63%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
