A Gateshead drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Schooner, a pub, bar or nightclub at South Shore Road, Gateshead, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on May 4, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 166 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 103 (62%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
