A Gateshead drinking establishment has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Tyneside Golf Club Limited, a pub, bar or nightclub at Tyneside Golf Club, Westfield Lane, Ryton, Tyne And Wear was given the score after assessment on December 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 174 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 109 (63%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
