A Gateshead restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Peters, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Ship Inn, High Heworth Lane, Heworth, Felling was given the score after assessment on March 29, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 248 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 199 (80%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
