A Gateshead restaurant has been handed a new zero-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Dee Dee's, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at The Range, Gibside Way, Metro Centre, Whickham was given the minimum score after assessment on June 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 252 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 188 (75%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
