A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Subway, a takeaway at 2 Crowhall Lane, Felling Central, Felling was given the maximum score after assessment on May 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 202 takeaways with ratings, 123 (61%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
