A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Sea Garden Chinese Take Away, a takeaway at 2 Norham Terrace, Blaydon On Tyne, Tyne And Wear was given the maximum score after assessment on October 9, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 196 takeaways with ratings, 125 (64%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
