A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Da Vinci's, a takeaway at 1 Brewery Lane, Swalwell, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on November 23, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 201 takeaways with ratings, 120 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
