A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Khan Tandoori, a takeaway at Unit 2 Dewhurst Terrace, Sunniside, Gateshead was given the score after assessment on January 25, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 201 takeaways with ratings, 121 (60%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
