A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Golden Dragon, a takeaway at 20 Clavering Road, Bleach Green, Blaydon was given the score after assessment on March 15, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 202 takeaways with ratings, 121 (60%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
