A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Pizza Cottage, a takeaway at 668 Durham Road, Low Fell, Gateshead was given the score after assessment on July 18, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 198 takeaways with ratings, 125 (63%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
