A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Post House Chippy, a takeaway at 24a Front Street, Winlaton, Blaydon On Tyne was given the score after assessment on July 21, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 199 takeaways with ratings, 125 (63%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
