A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Bilals, a takeaway at 4 Southend Terrace, Sheriff Hill, Gateshead was given the score after assessment on August 15, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 199 takeaways with ratings, 125 (63%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
