A Gateshead takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Leybourne Fisheries, a takeaway at 2 Leybourne Hold, Birtley, Chester Le Street was given the score after assessment on September 26, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Gateshead's 197 takeaways with ratings, 126 (64%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
