Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to five Gateshead establishments

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Gateshead’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: KFC at 76-78 Russell Way, Metrocentre, Gateshead; rated on August 16

• Rated 5: Fattoush Lounge at 48b Garden Walk, Metro Centre, Whickham; rated on August 15

• Rated 5: Bells Fish and Chips at Unit 23 Team Valley Retail Park, Tenth Avenue West, Team Valley; rated on August 14

• Rated 5: Melts at 15 Flexbury Gardens, Harlow Green, Gateshead; rated on August 14
