Good news as food hygiene ratings given to two Gateshead restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Gateshead’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Veganatomy, at Hillgate Quay, East Gateshead, Gateshead was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 15.

And McDonalds, at Team Valley Retail Park, Team Valley, Gateshead was also given a score of five on July 13.

It means that of Gateshead's 253 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 189 (75%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
