New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven of Gateshead’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Joshua Tree Cafe at Rowanwood Gardens, Lobley Hill, Gateshead; rated on August 11

• Rated 5: Alex's Coffee at 15 Howe Street, Gateshead, Tyne And Wear; rated on August 10

Pubs, bars and nightclubs
