Food hygiene ratings given to 12 Newcastle establishments

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 12 of Newcastle’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 12 of Newcastle’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to eight restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Lilys Fusion at 147 Scrogg Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne; rated on March 5

• Rated 5: The Kiln at 4 Hume Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne; rated on March 4

• Rated 5: Heavenly Desserts at Unit 2a Newgate Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne; rated on March 3

• Rated 5: MRKT Coffee Shop at 72 Pilgrim Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne; rated on March 3

• Rated 5: Umai Mi at Unit 13 Upper Level Greys Quarter, Eldon Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne; rated on March 3

• Rated 5: The Alchemist Bar And Restaurant Ltd at Unit 5 Lower Level Greys Quarter, Eldon Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne; rated on March 1

• Rated 5: Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill At Hotel Indigo at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill 2 - 8 Fenkle Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne; rated on February 23
