New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The Lowther, a pub, bar or nightclub at 16 - 20 Newgate Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 17.

And The Whale’s Head Coffee, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 413 Chillingham Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of four on November 7.
