New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Pret A Manger, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 143 - 145 Northumberland Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a two-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 15.

And Subway, a takeaway at 3 - 4 Gunner House Neville Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of five on August 29.
