Food hygiene ratings given to two Newcastle restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Puccini, at 29 Pudding Chare, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 24.

And Kimchi Planet, at 24 Wretham Place, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of zero on June 24.

It means that of Newcastle's 664 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 490 (74%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
