New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Hatem Restaurant, at Unit 1 Adams Building West Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 22.

And Sollie Box, at Street Record Benton Lane, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of three on July 22.
It means that of Newcastle's 668 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 492 (74%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
