Food hygiene ratings given to two Newcastle restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The bake newcastle Ltd, at Unit 11 Upper Level Greys Quarter, Eldon Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 26.

And ZUJU restaurant, at 7 - 9 Gallowgate, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of three on August 26.

It means that of Newcastle's 676 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 498 (74%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
