Food hygiene ratings given to two Newcastle restaurants
New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
JOM Mama's, at Newcastle University Kings Walk, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 5.
And Turcos Cafe, at 34 Neville Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of one on October 5.
It means that of Newcastle's 669 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 480 (72%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
