Food hygiene ratings handed to two Newcastle restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Cloves Catering, at Leazes Cafe Trevelyan Court Trevelyan Drive, Newbiggin Hall, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 24.

And Sky Chinese Cuisine, at 20 - 28 Stowell Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of one on February 24.

It means that of Newcastle's 665 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 485 (73%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
