New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Endless kitchen, at 18 Wansbeck Road South, Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 27.

And Rajnagar, at 199 - 201 Two Ball Lonnen, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of two on February 27.

It means that of Newcastle's 665 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 485 (73%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
