Food hygiene ratings handed to two Newcastle takeaways

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Dixy Chicken, at 200 Chillingham Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 7.

And Take the shake, at 76 Grainger Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of four on August 10.

It means that of Newcastle's 307 takeaways with ratings, 200 (65%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
