Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to two Newcastle restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newcastle’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Cote Brasserie, at 120 - 122 Grainger Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 18.

And MAI SUSHI, at 77 - 87 Northumberland Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was also given a score of five on November 18.

It means that of Newcastle's 681 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 499 (73%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
