'Inadequate' rating for care home in Newcastle
A care home in Newcastle has been given a negative score after being inspected.
The Care Quality Commission gives ratings to care providers and other organisations across England. It rates how well the service is performing against various criteria – with overall rankings ranging from 'outstanding' to 'inadequate'.

Hide AdThe latest batch of ratings from the CQC show a care home, Bowland Lodge, was rated as 'inadequate' on November 21. The home was last inspected on September 12.
An 'inadequate' score means a service is severely underperforming, and normally results in it being placed under special measures by the CQC, with further checks being carried out.
