A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

AMT coffee, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Amt Coffee Newcastle Central Station Neville Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the maximum score after assessment on February 2, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 678 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 489 (72%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
