A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Hen & Hops, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 12 High Bridge, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the maximum score after assessment on May 23, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 662 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 492 (74%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
