A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Cedar Road Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 10 Cedar Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on June 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 661 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 496 (75%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
