A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Afghan Grill House, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 121 Stanton Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on October 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 620 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 443 (71%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
