A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Caspian Turkish Restaurant, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Caspian Turkish Restaurant 36 - 42 Grosvenor Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on May 12, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 655 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 474 (72%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
