A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Meadow, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 423 Westgate Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on June 12, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 663 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 484 (73%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
