A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Punto Italian Kitchen, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 208 - 210 Heaton Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on May 10, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 660 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 491 (74%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
