A Newcastle restaurant has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Deep North, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 42 Dean Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on November 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 671 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 479 (71%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
