A Newcastle takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Pizza Addict, a takeaway at 7 Elswick Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the maximum score after assessment on April 27, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 302 takeaways with ratings, 193 (64%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
