A Newcastle takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Ameens, a takeaway at 35 Groat Market, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on March 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 313 takeaways with ratings, 198 (63%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
