Newcastle takeaway given new food hygiene rating

A Newcastle takeaway has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Ahad's Indian Kitchen, a takeaway at 25 Station Road, South Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on August 25, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 309 takeaways with ratings, 200 (65%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
