A Newcastle takeaway has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Momo Palace, a takeaway at 7 Heaton Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on January 10, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 301 takeaways with ratings, 187 (62%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
