A Newcastle takeaway has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Welbeck convenience store, a takeaway at 813 - 815 Welbeck Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on April 26, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 306 takeaways with ratings, 196 (64%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
