A Newcastle takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Dixy Chicken, a takeaway at 20 Westmorland Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on August 16, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 311 takeaways with ratings, 188 (60%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
