A Newcastle takeaway has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Aligeez, a takeaway at 13b Mallowburn Crescent, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given the score after assessment on October 25, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newcastle's 314 takeaways with ratings, 188 (60%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
