New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of North Tyneside’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of North Tyneside’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Friez & Burgz, at 7 Station Road North, Forest Hall, Newcastle Upon Tyne was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 8.

And Lee Garden, at Unit 2 Blue Bell Crossing, Earsdon Road, Shiremoor, Newcastle Upon Tyne was given a score of three on March 8.

It means that of North Tyneside's 187 takeaways with ratings, 109 (58%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
