New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of North Tyneside’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Waffles And Cones, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 197 Whitley Road, Whitley Bay, Tyne And Wear was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 2.

And Pizza Point-Newcastle \& House Of Sweets/ Candy Crush, a takeaway at 128 - 130 High Street East, Wallsend, Tyne And Wear was given a score of two on September 28.
