Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to two North Tyneside restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of North Tyneside’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Paddle Pod Newcastle (Killingworth), at Site 7c, Mylord Crescent, Camperdown Industrial Estate, Camperdown was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 2.

And Paddle Pod North Tyneside (Shiremoor), at Paddle Pod, New York Road, Shiremoor, Newcastle Upon Tyne was also given a score of five on August 17.

It means that of North Tyneside's 261 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 217 (83%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
